Dial-out from Option11c?

Situation:

I have an Option11c, (21 of them actually), with modem attached to copper. For some reason I do not have documentation on the modem number for this particular location.

My TTY ports are as follows:

TTY 1 : ENBL DES: Maint_Terminal
TTY 2 : ENBL DES: OPEN
TTY 12 : ENBL DES: OTMPTY
TTY 13 : DSBL DES: OTMPTY
TTY 14 : DSBL DES: OTMPTY
TTY 15 : DSBL DES: OTMPTY

Question: Is there a way to dial-out through the maintenance modem as configured on TTY 0, (I have rlogin access to the Option via VPN), to my cell phone, thus giving me the modem number from caller ID?

No way that I can think of.

No you can't, it takes a smart modem like a SEB to do that and it will only call the number programed in it. Do you have anyone on site that can plug a phone into the modem and call you or 1-800-444-4444 and that will tell you the number your calling from.

Unfortunately I do not currently have anyone onsite that would be able to do it, and I am about 2900 miles away from this switch. I might be able to get a local tech onsite to do that at some point.

All they need is a standard analog phone like at home and plug it in to the modem jack. any body should be able to do it. I have Office Managers do it all the time.

using a robitics you can program it to dial a programed number when the rts goes high.. that's a neat comamnd because when the tty is enl tty 0, it would dial you.. bad news is the only way to program it that i know of in local atdt commands..
