Greetings -
Background:
I'm able to dial into a PBX with no problems using my desktop PC. I've got an external (real modem) attached to it.
When I'm not at the office I use my laptop to dial into PBXs. I don't carry a real modem with me, so I am stuck with the software modem (conexant).
Configuration:
There is an external modem connected to the PBX and I'm able to connect via my desktop using VT-100, 9600, 8, n, 1. I typically get dialed in, press enter and the prompt appears.
Problem:
When I dial into the PBX using my laptop and procomm, when I press enter, an x shows up on screen. If switch to VT-220 or 320 a O with a / through it shows up.
I've tried entering the following modem commands prior to dialing:
at+ms=v32
at+ms=v22
at+ms=v34
at+ms=v22b
at+ms=v32b
Any thoughts?
