Hi All,
i have a request for create an automatic dial of spesific extension number (operator) on all analog users when analog sets stays in Off Hook for more than 4-5 seconds.
Unfortunately Dial Emergency and DialDirect/Hotline on user shortcodes (?D) dials immediately after off-hook. :(
Any ideas?

I don't have manager here. isn't there a P for pause?

Insert of pp or ;; before extension number also tested without success.

You can't do it without VM Pro, but even then it's not the best way to do it really, best to say no :)

That would literally take years I imagine even if it did get considered :)

Duvoice has something that can monitor off hook stations and alert that there is an offhook to another phone.

george74, tell us why? I can see two scenarios and which you're trying to achieve will affect the likely answers.

1. You want to auto connect any phone that goes accidentally off hook in case its some kind of problem for the user.

2. You want the phone users to have a 5 seconds period during which they can dial a number rather than be connected to the hot dial destination.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

One scenario that we've seen is a retirement/care community. If resident needed help, they'd knock their phone off hook. After X number of seconds, it would notify nursing staff. Not a UL certified solution, but functional.

Well, simply it is a new local regulation which recommends all analog phones on rooms to automatically dial/connect with reception's extension 5 secs after off-hook without dialing anything.
If we cant deal with it they will easily kick IPO out of that business.

I know plenty of people who can take longer than 5 secs to start dialling never mind old folks, seems rather short to me, perhaps it's best to let it go rather than fudging something for this scenario :)

amriddle01 probably youre right about 5 seconds its too short however as i can see here it cannot work on IPO regardless the time period.

It has not be designed to do this, while it can be fudged with VM pro I wouldn't do it, if you fancy risking it...its possible :)

There is no VM Pro but i wont quit. Ive done similar tricky and weird things with IPO in the past. I will give it a try :)
