Hi all,

I have an IPO R10, windows 10 PC with Outlook 2016, also has Skype for Business and TAPI3 installed.

I can use the dialer.exe to call from my phone via TAPI. I can also dial an Outlook contact from my phone via TAPI.

The problem is Skype for Business (SFB). When SFB is running, Outlook automatically uses it to dial the contact number. If I close SFB, then everything works fine, Outlook makes the call from my phone via TAPI.

I have disabled everything related to Skype in Outlook Add-in's.

Any suggestions?

You need to add a TAPIOVERRIDE registry entry. Here's the steps you need:

Start Registry Editor.
In Windows 8, click Windows key + R (Run), type regedit and then press ENTER.

For Windows 8 32-bit locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Call Integration
(I omitted Windows 8 64 Bit - I am actually running Win7Pro 64 Bit)
Note: If the Call Integration key is missing, LIKE IT WAS FOR ME IN WINDOWS 7, just add this key first and then the sub-key.
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type TAPIOVERRIDE, and then press ENTER.
Right-click TAPIOVERRIDE, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Exit the Registry Editor.

Re-launch Outlook.

I appreciate the help Intrigrant, but no-go.
I added the "Call Integration" key, I also tried "CallIntegration". I added the DWORD "TAPIOVERRIDE" to both and modified the value to 1... relaunched Outlook after each attempt. Also rebooted PC a couple times too.

I did see these instructions on various Outlook forums, I will revisit to make sure these are still valid for Windows 10 and Outlook 2016.

If you can think of anything else, please let me know.

Thanks
