I have a setup (406, 3.2) where I want a selected few users to not be reachable via 'Dial by Name' to the outside world. Other than not include their name in the 'Full Name' field, is there a way to exclude them.

Ex Directory?

Or don't record their name

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Wow, do I feel lame.... Of course it was ex directory. I was somehow focused on the vmpro portion to exclude them and forgot rule #1. Keep it simple.

Thank you again.

If the names are recorded just remove them from the C:/Program Files/Avaya/IP Office/VM Pro/VM/Names folder if your ex directory feature messes with other things.

Thanks for the star...

don't forget that ex-directory also means that the users won't show in Phonemanager when it accesses the user list for adding speed dials or making calls.

You might do better deleteing the name from the names folder, but it does rather depend on circumstances!
