Dial By Name (Embedded)

Hi guys

I'm trying to set up a dial by name with the Ebedded VM (IPO 6.1)

Press # for for the dial by name option......

I followed the Avaya doc:
VM Password in the Voicemail tab of the HG
H150 in the source number
VM Pswd in the VM tab of the User
User is in the group and cheeked

I tried the SC
*98
VoicemailCollect
"?Name" also tried "?Anounymous" and "?Extn150"

not working

I always have the system prompt saying -the external acces is not configured...Something like that....

any Ideas?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for, but there's a bunch of things wrong with what you posted...

Source Numbers:
V150 is for the extension... this removes VM security from the phone when using visual voice, so if you want security on the phone, you want to REMOVE the Vxxx extension number
H requires the hunt group name, not number... e.g. voicemail for the HG Reception would require a source number entry of HReception. This would allow that user to have access to HG VM for Reception.

SC:
for embedded you want:
*98
Voicemailcollect
"?"

dialing *98 should get you a prompt to enter a mailbox number.

Dial by Number also requires that all users record a name in their VM when prompted, or dial by name will not find them.

H and extension actually works for the message light for the newer releases but dial by name for a huntgroup?
