When I dial by name the system is going to call an extension right? not a mailbox. I have several mailbox only clients and need to create a solutions so people can dial by name after hours. From what i can tell I believe I need to create a dummy acd dn and have the number forward to the vmail box if it is not answered. Does this sound right? I have never created a dummy acd dn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LD 23 ACD = extension, MAXP=1 NCFW=mailbox pilot number. Enter through all other entries.

This will use up a lot of licenses if you have a lot of people going this route though, you should be able to set up so your menu sends them directly to the mailbox without having to go to the PBX first. What type of voice mail do you have?

We have Meridian Mail. Thanks

Using Mermail you need to use the method you first described above, building an ACD, or phantom sets etc to forward the call to voice mail.

Thanks! I got it to work.
