Dial by name directory ?

Hi all,
How do I add someone to the dial by name directory? I have Definity and AUDIX. they show up on the phone directory (menu/dir) buttons.

when you add a new station in your definity
you can use the directory to find that station-name of the
new station.
you dont have to do extra things to add it to the directory

Add a feature botton "call display".
Now when you look up a name in the directory and you push the "call display" button , the phone dials the number of this person.

it's a simple.

It sounds like you don't have there name spelled correctly in the Audix subscriber form. You may also not have it defined correctly as Last,First depending on your audix setup. The dial by name is an audix feature completely independent of the PBX and the names on the PBX directory / station forms.

I think I may have worded the question incorrectly. I'm talking about the automated attendant feature that asks you to press the letters on the phone that correspond to the users name. It doesnt recognize a subscriber who is active in the system.

Yes, you either don't have a subscriber built, the name is spelled wrong, or you don't have it setup as lastname,firstname. There is nothing to add, you simply need the subscriber defined correctly. -CL
