I've been looking for a way to prevent "Dial ahead discarded" messages in my event logs and haven't found anything. They are coming in so fast they drive out events that might point to a real problem with a vector.

I hope someone has the answer to this one

Thanks

I would guess that you have sequential announcements in your vector(s) - try combining them into a single vector.

wait 0 seconds hearing silence
announcement 1234
collect 1 digits after announcement 5678

changes to

wait 0 seconds hearing silence
collection 1 digits after announcement 12345678

If this is not the case, post a copy of the vector in question.

We get this on many vectors in different call centers.

Here's one where a call comes in and is routed back out.

Thanks BIS. No one seems to really know what's going on with this event type.

This morning I changed the vector from above, inserting step 1 "collect 15 digits after announcement none" and the events have stopped. I think it is just looking at info from the ISDN stream and expecting to have something done with then. I'll monitor for a day or so and see if any problems show up at the site the calls are forwarded to.

Thanks again all.
