I am searching for a good utility that allows you to show views. I will be basing a lot of my queries off of data from views, and am thoroughly dissappointed that SQL Server doesn't allow you to do that. Any suggestions?

Oh - one other requirement - I don't want to enter a datatype - yet. I just want the field name. As the project progresses we will decide what datatypes will be used for each field, but that won't even be until next year.

Would you have a link to their website? Where can I get in touch with them?

ERwin is now owned by Computer Associates. Yuck.

A cheaper alternative is ERStudio from Embarcadero.

Check out Dezign for Databases (The current sponsor at the top of the tek-tips page...) for a more economical alternative @ $139. They offer a trial version that can be freely downloaded.
