After installing BOE XI we have tried using the DHTML and Advanced DHTML viewers to view charts in InfoView. The result only displays a placeholder for the chart with a red cross.

imagehandlerdotnetbridge.aspx calls for the dynamic image and the dynamic image can be found in %systemroot%\Windows\Temp folder as a png. The security on the folder is set to allow everyone to read and also allows IUSR account read access.

All dymanic images work with the ActiveX and Java viewer.

Can anyone share some trouble shooting tips?

Thanks for the KB article. The network service has full control over Windows\Temp and the default app pool in IIS is using the Network Service as a service account. After reading the KB and going through the suggested fix the same problem is appearing.

Is your Web Connector on the same Machine as your CMS and other services - or are you in a cluster...?

The web connector is on the same machine as the CMS and other services.

Do you have this issue if you run the IE-session for InfoView directly on the server - rather than from a remote workstation?

Yes. When you try to view the page from IE on the actual server the same issues are present as if you were viewing from a workstation.

Thanks, but I have read all the topics about DHTML viewers on technicalsupport.businessobjects.com.
They all did'nt help me...

I am having the same problem as you asplolle. All documents I have read have not helped in any way. We have snce been in contact with BO support and they are unable to help also. This has happened on two other Vanilla builds of Windows 2003. Not too good if BO can't help us.

Active X and Java viewers work no problem. Only DHTML presents an issue.

Our ActiveX and Java viewers work too, but we are unable to use them. Our users have no permissions to install neither these nor other components over security policy.

What are the other limits to your "security policy" on the users local PCs...?

Do they have access to the TEMP locations where the images would be stored by the browser (BOBJ Support would need to give you the path...?

TEST - login to a PC or the server as a local-Admin and test if you can see the images when you open a report in the DHTML viewer.

I've discovered, that the browser cannot show the images that located at the TEMP dir.
"All users", "SYSTEM" and "IIS" accounts have full access to this dir.
