Has anyone succesfully configured these strings and got it working on the 1140 and 1120. I have tried but with no success. Can someone just give me an example if someone got it working.Please Help

Its as it is in the NTP make sure you have th "." on the end of the string should be something like:

Nortel-i2004-A,<S1 addr>:5000,1,7;<S2 Addr>:5000,1,7.

Also, you will need particular FW on the phones for the VLAN string to function correctly.

thanks guys got it right at last. A few typing errors.
thanks for the help

Can you share the string you used please?

Many thanks!

You'll need to be at firmware 0625C4N or later for the 1140e.

Here's a quick example;

Nortel-i2004-B;s1ip=47.11.62.20;p1=4100;a1=1;r1=255;s2ip=47.11.62.21;p2=4100;a2=1;r2=2;xip=47.11.62.147;xp=5000;xa=g;unid=Main-tower;menulock=p;vq=y;vcp=3;vmp=4;vlanf=y;pc=y;pcs=a;pcd=a;dq=y;dv=y;dvip=60;dp=5;pcuntag=y;lldp=y;pk1=438A64FC24127C23;pk2=64FC23CD24AB1413;cachedip=y;igarp=n;srtp=n;dim=y;bt=y;

I'm not sure if you need to end the whole thing with a period (.) as needed to be done with the Nortel-i2004-A DHCP option.

Cheers!
