I have just recently acquired a Cisco Catalyst 3550 series switch for our LAN backbone.

From the IOS CLI. i could see that the switch not only acted as a DHCP relay agent but also a DHCP server.

Would anybody be kind enough to show me resourses on how to configure this switch as a DHCP server for backup reasons.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks mate for the help

But i have already configured the relay agent.
I was wondering if the switch itself could act as a DHCP SERVER

Can it?
