Greetings ~

I'm trying to determine where and if we have a DHCP server for our Nortel 1140E series phones.

The questions I have are this:

Do the phones use DHCP for registration?
Where is the DHCP Server?
What is the IP Address for the DHCP server?

I've been drilling through Nortel documentation on-line to no avail. I do see some references to DHCP but nothing to clear for our setup.

Thanks for the help!

The IP Phones can use DHCP for registration. The CS 1000 itself does not have a DHCP server and you would supply your own. Most data networks already have a DHCP server unless you are using fixed IP addresses.

The IP Phones can also use FTP/TFTP/HTTP to receive configuration information. You would also have to supply this yourself.

Thanks gwebster for the quick reply

How do I determine the registration process of the IP phones?

Is there somewhere I look on the SS in the configuration?
