Hi:

We are sharing the same network with another company.

His IP range set for his DHCP server is from 192.168.10.0 - 100

Gateway is: 192.168.10.6 DNS:165.21.83.85

When we try to set up the DHCP server from 192.168.10.101 - 150.

We got this error:

the specified server are already running in the directory services.

I search for the solution in Microsoft website. did as instructed but still got the same error.

Even try to delete the DHCP and reinstall again. Did almost everything but still the same problem.

Any one can help pls? We are now using static IP.

Why are you using the same IP addressing schema? Do you need to communicate with the other company's computers?

Are the IPs of the severs different? Do the servers have static IPs?

Go to their server and input your addresses in the excuded range.

we are actually using the other company gateway and router to access the internet. Problem could have been solve if my company has its own router to communicate with his router. But my company is cutting costs, so have to use his router.

Yes, the IP of our server and his own server are different. His is 192.168.10.1, while mine is 192.168.10.101.
I will try the method suggested by shovel201. Actually I was told by my friend that it is because we are using the same subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 that the DHCP server won't work. Is that true?

I guess I have to work out all this over the weekend.
