Help!! I have just redid my network address scheme from 192.168.1.x to 10.x.x.x (we ran out of address). Half of my machines (about 75 - 100 of them) are getting the error: The IP address lease 0.0.0.0 for the network card with network address (mac address) has been denied by DHCP 0.0.0.0 (the DHCP server sent a DHCPNACK message). I tried to do a release / renew via ipconfig and It tells me: Access Is Denied (to the DHCP server). We are running a win2k dhcp server with NO active directory (yet). We still have our old scope on the dhcp server, but it is disabled.

Thanks for you help!!

We have to start somewhere like: any errors, DCHP scopes and subnets, result of ipconfig/all perhaps. You can post those ip's as they are private but you can change the host names if you want to.

What are you using for a subnet? DHCP is one of the most simple things to run, so something simple is being overlooked. Half of my machines (about 75 - 100 of them) are getting the error: The machines that are getting in, what ip address are they getting. Compare ipconfig /all on a machine that connects with one that can't. Good luck.

As far as the subnet goes. I am using 255.0.0.0 as the subnet. As far as errors go: Only what I listed above.
Access Is Denied (to the DHCP server). The event log says: The IP address lease 0.0.0.0 for the network card with network address (mac address) has been denied by DHCP 0.0.0.0 (the DHCP server sent a DHCPNACK message).

This is all the info that I have.

75 to 100 reservations would imply one BIG network. What did the ipconfig /all comparison show? Good luck.
