Hi, I have 2 DCs handled with Win2k3... [sad]

I have a workstation that a member with DC1 that will grab an IP address from other DC2 DHCP. I have no problem with the configuration with the DNS' and DHCP's they are working fine and no errors found in the event viewer..

How can I force the workstation to get an IP address from that DC? I tried to reset the ip address using the ipconfig /release /renew /registerdns and others commands but still no effect.

Any help from anybody is very much appreciated.. thanks

eventhough that the client is not a member with that domain?

yes. DHCP doesn't make use of domains.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

Any idea how to make clients use the DHCP where the clients a domain member?

Thanks..

In the properties for the clients TCP/IP on the NIC, make sure it's set to Obtain an IP address automatically.
