I'm trying to configure ethernet pass-through on an Avaya 9608 handset. I'd like voice to be on VLAN 700 and data on VLAN 1.
Setup:
* DHCP 242 string: MCIPADD=192.168.0.10,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=192.168.0.10,L2Q=0,L2QVLAN=700,VLANTEST=0
* Phone is connected to a trunk port with VLAN 1 (staff) untagged and VLAN 700 (voice) tagged
* Firewall has an any-any rule from staff subnet (192.168.2.1/24) to voice subnet (192.168.7.1/24)
This seems to work and I'm able to login to the phone, however after about a minute the machine reboots and gets stuck in a loop until I either manually clear it or change the switchport config so that only VLAN 700 is supported.
Does the L2Q need to be set to a different number?
Assistance would be much appreciated. thank you.
