DevLink: Call logging from Unix??

I have been asked to write some code (in C) to pick up the caller id and answering extension etc to run on a PC (running Unix) for use with an IP Office switch. I understand that I should get hold of a copy of the SDK cd from Avaya to help with this work. However, I get the impression that the SDK cd only works with Windows.

Can anybody tell me if the above CD has any Unix examples etc, or are there any other resources available to help?
