I'm trying to establish an MGCP connection between a Cisco 2851 and a CCM 4.2 with a Siemmens Hicom 300e.

The router has a NM-HDV2-2T1/E1 in slot 1, and a VWIC-2MFT-E1 in subunit 0.

This is the error I get at the event log in the CallManager

Error: DeviceTransientConnection - Transient connection attempt.
Connecting Port: 2427
Device name [Optional].: *@2851-SLP
Device IP address.: 192.6.5.7
Device type. [Optional]: 254
Reason Code [Optional].: 2
App ID: Cisco CallManager
Cluster ID: StandAloneCluster
Node ID: ccmslp
Explanation: A connection was established and immediately dropped before completing registration. Incomplete registration may indicate a device is rehoming in the middle of registration. The alarm could also indicate a device misconfiguration, database error, or an illegal/unknown device trying to attempt a connection.
Recommended Action: No action is required if this event was issued as a result of a normal device rehome.

What does the router show when you type
"sh ccm-manager config"

Please post. More that likely you have a configuration error.
Also post all your MGCP config from your router.

Thank you very much!!!!

dont use the hostname of the call manager...Use the IP

mgcp call-agent x.x.x.x 2427 service-type mgcp version 0.1

you should also have a redundant host under your ccm-manager config.

ccm-manager config redundant host x.x.x.x (pub)

Thank you very much!! I give you a star.

I didn't realized that it had the name instead the IP Address, maybe it change because I have defined a ip name-server on the router.

Now I have another problem, the controller E1 doesn't comes up... maybe is the jumper in the HDV that needs to be changed...

I keep you informed.

Thank you, again.

No jumpers.Add this staement to the interface Serial1/0/1:15
ISDN BIND-L3 CCM-Manager
