Devices or applications unstable

I have installed roxio easy cd creator software for an external CD writer on my laptop.

When I boot my machine up without it being connected I receive this message!

Devices or applications unstable, applications or devices on this computer use drivers that will cause windows to become unstable!

It is becoming annoying! I am using XP signed drivers.
Is there a way in regedit to set the driver so that the message doesn't appear?

Does it tell you which device or driver? If not, I would unload programs from starting up until that message goes away so you can determine which one it is. If it is Roxio, they load a virtual device driver so the software can talk directly to the burner. Make sure you have it patched, there was an XP specific patch out there.

There is a patch or a upgrade for roxio to run on XP try there web site.

I upgraded to Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum and the problem was resolved!
