Hi there,

We have hundreds of 5212's that are used by hotdesk users, since we have upgraded to MCD 5 we have been looking at clawing back some of the licences for these. I can change all of the 5212's to device only's. However, here is the problem, previously I had programmed up a key as a CDE Speedcall of the FAC, it now says that this key isnt supported on this set type.....

Any help would be gratefully received :)

Initial Device Attributes
Mitel Communications Director supports both Mitel proprietary IP phones and Session Initiation Protocol, or SIP phones. Both types of phones can be programmed on the MCD system, without a licensing requirement. However, extensions programmed on the system will be bear initial device attributes only, or IDA, and will be locked down. An IDA device programmed in the MCD database will only be able to make emergency 911 and attendant dial zero calls. No other outgoing or intercom calls will be possible and key programming will be prohibited.

You cannot assign any buttons to a device only.

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
