Device offline

I am running ArcServe 2000, using a Dell Powervault 120T tape. Arcserve has reported that the Autoloader is offline, but the drive is OK.
I have checked with the dell utils for the tapedrive and all reports OK. Nothing has changed on the machine recently

Has anyone any ideas?

Run arcserve device configuration and in step 3 of 3 in device configuration mark the device online ..

Then restart the tape engine service.

Thanks for the reply.
I found the solution. I'd run the C2 configuration tool to lock down the registry. Quite why the device showed off-line then i don;t know. However i set the reg permissions to Everyone on the HKLM\Software\computerassociates key. this seemed to sort it out after stopping/starting the tape engine.
