can you extend device numbers on a option 81 from 16 (0 to 15)?
 
No, but you now have the ability to expand per group, so you could have up to 80 on a 5 group system (copper) or 128 on a 8 group fiber switch. In the config, you set the group then the DNUM, so you can have DNUM's 0-15 in each group.

that change was made around rls 24. now the switch ask you group when your in 96. map msdl etc.. i just added an msdl with the same device number as one in another group.. i also check here first

7 groups, not 8.

7 x 16 = 112 device numbers.

No, never mind, you can have 8, 0-7.

Please disregard my last post, as I am sure most of you already have.
