Device and Media Options Grayed out.

Windows SBS 2003 Standard.

Veritas Backup Exec for Windows Servers
Small Business Suite Version 10.0 Rev 5484

Under -Tools- -Device and Media Operations- The entire sub-menu is grayed out. IE Inventory, Catalog, Configure Partitions, Quick Erase etc is totally grayed out. Otherwise I can do scheduled and unschedule backups.

Any help greatly appreciated.

What type of device are you using? Does it show in the Windows Device Manager? Does it show in NTBACKUP?

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Thanks for the help. The drive was showing in the device manager. The problem was that I was not selecting the device under the devices tab before attempting to erase etc. After I selected the device I could erase etc.
