I have installed oracle 8i personal edition and created a databse, after that I installed oracle developer and wanted to connect the databse to the develpoer and failed

please advise.

Could you be more specific - like did you see error messages, and if so, what were they? Also, what platform are you running on - Windows 98 or Windows NT/2000/XP ?

You will need to specify the full database name <name>.<domain> at the connect gui
