I've very recently inherited responsibility for a large and organizationally significant app. It was built in VFP half a dozen years ago by some other developers, and has been very extensively tweaked, modded, debottlenecked, and otherwise seriously poked and prodded since then. They never documented it(either end user or developer - even at code line level) at the time of creation, and has not been documented in the interim either. The best I can find is a log file of (probably not all) changes, with little useful data (who instigated, who made change, when).
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, solutions (Thank You!) that allow me to get a reasonable enough documentation package together for other developers so that they can carry on without too much trauma and organizational dislocation in the event that the original developers quit, get hit by a bus, or want to negotiate a tripling of their salaries?
