I understand that an Awservices Status will tell me if an agent is installed on a machine however this does not help me on a dsm because it will display regardless if an agent is installed or not. How do i determine if an agent is installed on a dsm?

awservices status will show you the status of all agentworks services - including the agents, the dsm, common services, and the related services to the dsm.

if you want to see a particular agent, you can type the name of the agent followed by status - like this:

caiW2kOs status

If it's installed and running, the results will be

RUNNING caiw2kos:caiw2kos

If installed and stopped, you will see

STOPPED caiw2kos:caiw2kos

if it's not installed, you will see

'caiW2kOs' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

To check against remote systems, use servicectrl:

servicectrl status --remote=hostname --name=caiW2kOs
