I have an old laptop that I want to use as a dial-back pc but not quite sure how to determine the processor speed to see if it meets requirements. Any idea how to determine this. The PC is a Compaq Presario 1277.

Thanks

1) Start -> Run, type dxdiag and hit OK (works on Win98 PC's and later)

-OR-

2) At bootup, it should display in the POST screen. You can also enter your BIOS (hitting delete or F1 usually) to find out.

-OR-

3) Download a free tool called Belarc Advisor (just do a google search for it)

hit delete, f1 f2 f8 f10 after you hit the power button. I'm not sure what the proper key is for that notebook.
get into the bios, disable quickboot and any logos that may hide what's going on. then reboot and it should display the speed/memory.

Thanks, however I did a search on Google for the exact model number and found out it comes standard with 64mb Ram and a 433 processor.

Thanks again
