Hi all,

has anyone managed to check for the language of a Windows Xp (and 2000) instalation using the options available in "System Requirements"?

I'm distributing MS patches, so I need to distinguish the following windows installations: English multilingual, spanish, czech, italian, portugese and portugese (brasil)

Thanks in advance.

Note, MS admits this is not a fool proof solution

Just a suggestion - might or might not be applicable on your environment.

Have a look at MS Software Update Services (free product) :

You won't need to detect the language - it will do that for you. But it only works on Win2000 or later though, doesn't support NT4.

We're currently trialing this product on our (mostly Novell) environment and quite happy with it.
