I apologize if this question has been recently asked and answered, but the search engine is down.

Is there any way, just from looking inside the exe, to determine if it built with VFP6, 7, or 8?

I just opened a small VFP6 exe in notepad and did a text search for "visual". The result was "VisualFoxProRuntime.6". Might be worth a try on a copy of your exe if it's not too big?

Works great. Thanks

You're welcome, and thanks for the star. Of course, there are always more elegant ways to answer a question, but sometimes a quick peek with Notepad reveals a lot!
