desperate compaq presario 56K-DF modem!!!!

hi,
I have a compaq presario 1245. it usually works with win98. I have upgraded it to win 2000 pro. When I check my hardware with the wizard, it gives me an error (code 19) in my modem. i need a fast solution for this problem. any suggestions?

You might want to try the desktop hardware forum...that being said, Compaq doesn't support that modem under anything but Win98 and Win95. However, the modem is a Lucent modem (which model, I don't know) and this link has the links to most of the Lucent drivers out there. You could do a little trial and error with them if you wish.
