Desktop Messaging client version 5.00.41.112 - what is required? 2

Customer noted to us that they see on the Avaya site that this is what they need for desktop to work with office 2010.

What exactly is required to get this going?

Can you even download Desktop Messaging client version 5.00.41.112?

Or must it be purchased?

Everyone I talk too is confused on the whole process for DM nowadays.

You could download BCM450.R600.CALLPILOTDESKTOPMESSAGING-10 patch and install it on a Bcm450 then download the call pilot desktop messaging from the Bcm450.Then install the desktop client to your customer's pc and let us know if it works with Bcm 4.0, i'm pretty sure it will.

gberger, any chance of a link to BCM450.R600.CALLPILOTDESKTOPMESSAGING-10? I don't see it on ESPL.

BCM.R400.SU.Desktop.018-201104-1.0-1.0 includes
callpilotdesktopmessaging 5.00.41.112
namely BCM.R400.337-DESKTOPMESSAGING
which according to the readme will work with Office 2010


Looking at the 450r5 desktop update it includes:
callpilotdesktopmessaging 5.0.41.112.27
So seems similar.

Sorry I don't have the desktop update for 450r6.

Avaya have released desktop updates going back to 50r3 I think which includes updated desktop messaging to accommodate windows 7 & outlook 2010; I think fairly recently, albeit ESPL doesn't send emails when new patch/SU is released unlike

Sorry to add the twist...they said 4.0 but actually see it's 3.7

Is it even compatible to get higher than 2.5 DM?

curlycord, you could try downloading the DM client off a 4.0/450 however good luck. 3.x's won't run forever, so maybe a good selling opportunity to get them to 450 if DM from a 4.0 does not function with a 3.7

Starting to think 5.0 DM is for Meridian PBX CP only and not BCM.
