I attempted to check the configuration in desktop manager on one of my user's laptops while connected to a Blackberry. I can get into all areas except the Configure PIM area. When I attempt to enter this area it asks for a password. The user says he as done nothing to "turn this on." Suggestions on turning off or resetting this password requirement? I have attempted uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop manager to no avail.

Are you running a blackberry server...you can reset it there? Did you try the password root or the last 4 number of the phone #. What about a hard reset by opening the back and putting a pin in the reset hole?

Is there a password required to access Outlook besides the usual network user/password combo?

We are on a blackberry server syncing with Domino Lotus Notes. The user wasn't in today for me to check his status. Logging the user onto email server, syncing, etc. is working ok (so far).

Trying going to the Desktop manager..Backup and restore....ADvanced tab. Highlight all the handheld databases then click delete or remove. hope it helps
