Every time I reboot the option to "Use drop shadows for Icon labels on the desktop" is rechecked.
What programs could be resetting this option to ON.
I don't want it on.
Thanks

Are you on a stand alone PC, or are you on a network?

Hope this Helps.

I dont know of any program that would enforce that, unless you have any Dektop toys installed, WindowsWasher, Windows XP plus, etc

Hope this Helps.

None that I know of. I use a program called Iconoid which keeps track of icon positions and text color. but it wont work unless drop shadow is off. It provides a way to turn off drop shadow. But im wondering why drop shadow gets reset on boot. It's just a nit but i'm curious.

you say it "provides a way to turn off drop shadow", do you use this "way", or have you done it manually?

Hope this Helps.

I have done it both ways, neither sets drop shadows off permanently. Always back on after a reboot.
