Hi
I have a FIC mobo PA-2013, 384 MB (PC 133) RAM, AMD K6-2 333MHZ CPU, 3GB HDD, NT 4.0 SP 6, IE 6.0.
If I leave the system off for 1/2 day, then when I switch on it boots all the way up and after NT logon(and Yahoo messenger load), it freezes. If I turn the main psu switch off and turn it on and bring it up(after the first run after the 1/2 a day rest) it freezes even before I see the NT logon screen. In the next immediate try while couting the memory check it freezes. Next try even before memory check it freezes.
I did not have heat sink on the CPU Socket-7. It was fine and running well for last 6 months. It also did not have any fan in this system which I built ground up. Only the PSU(that comes with the fan) was in there. I placed inside an additional fan from one my old HP system, and I put a heat-sink(just the fins without fan from another desktop) Not of much help.
What might be the problem??
