I am designing databases for web sites. Currently, I use ASP pages that display data from an MS Access database. I would like to migrate to MS SQL 7.0. My web hosting provider provides space for MS SQL 7.0 databases. My question: can I use a product or version of SQL 7.0 to develop SQL datbases with an investment in the complete SQL 7.0? I just need to create the databases since my hosting service runs sql server.

Yes you will be able to use desktop edition. I have been using that latley and i have had no problems.

Joanne :)

If you have office2000, you already have a somewhat downspecked version of slq-server - MSDE. It comes with access.
I am in a similar situation as you - and I use it.
