I'm not sure if this is in the right section, if not I apologize in advance. Well, for some reason lately my computer screen seems to be dark and adjusting it is not working. Does anyone have any other solutions? Thanks

First, borrow another monitor and try. If same thing, try a different video board. If this all fails, we can start on changing settings. If you start changing settings before you find out what's wrong, you could really mess things up.

Thank you both for responding, sorry I didn't earlier. Is there any way to change the settings without screwing things up? Because my other monitor is not working properly. BTW what is a degrauss(sp?). Thanks in Advance

how long have you had your monitor? your monitor could be going bad. and you will need to replace it. your best bet is to try another monitor to see if that is your problem.

If another monitor displays OK then the monitor is at fault.
Nearly all monitors have Brightness, Contrast, focus and even seperate colour adjustments, these are internal potentiometers/adjusting knobs that need fine tuning, you need to remove rear cover.
Warning** very high voltage**
Although these are simple adjustments, only attempt any internal maintenance if you are a competant ellectrician.
