I created an icon on my desktop for my Access 2000 database, but sometimes when I double-click it it launches several other non-Access 2000 icons on my desktop.

I've seen this happen on other PC's when opening an Access 97 and 2000 database.

Anyone know if this is a bug in the Access 97 and 2000 programs?

At a guess Ed you are also using the Shift Bypass key . Yes ?

It is not an Access issue. It is a Windozzz desktop issue

By holding down the shift key before the first of the double clicks you select the desktop icon that was active, the desktop icon that you clicked and ALL those in between in the desktop list that windozzz keeps.

Solution
Click Once
Hold Down Shift
Double Click
