Avaya Deskphone onsite keeps showing discovery immediately you enter its username and password. It eventually logs in but the time between the discovery and the actual login is up to 2-3mins
Do you have CLANs? Whatever you have in the settings file or DHCP is just enough to get the phone to begin registering to CM. If you happen to have 3 CLANs in region 1, and you happened to point your phones to only 1 CLAN via 46xxsettings or DHCP, CM will try to load balance phone registrations across all CLANs in the same network region.
In that example, your phone would try to register to CLAN1 and it would answer with a list of all 3 CLANs, and depending on load, CM would tell the phone to use CLAN 2 or 3 first to keep things balanced.
If CLAN 2 or 3 aren't reachable from your phone, then that would be a situation where you'd have the exact problem you're reporting.
