We have a user who has an HP Deskjet 6540 at home and when she connects to the office through CITRIX and tries to print through CITRIX to the local printer, it all prints backwards, even a Windows test page (like you can hold the printed document up to a mirror and read it, not that it prints from page 4, 3, 2, then 1). When we run the HP printer utilities through CITRIX, it will print out fine (because those utilities are already on the printer?), but other than that, it's all backwards. Driver issue? Couldn't find anything in the settings that could be turned off (like options to print reversed onto iron-on transfers or anything like that)...any thoughts?

I have a user that has the same problem with an HP DeskJet 5740 on Citrix. I know it is on the list of printers and worked on it for many hours. Just yesterday I gave up and bought a HP DeskJet 5940.

I also had the problem on a couple of HP DeskJet 6540's

I solved it by mapping the driver to a plain HP DeskJet driver in Citrix. The downside is that the print is not in colors and you don't have the advanced features of the 6540, but in my case it doesn't matter.

Citrix has a problem when dealing with printers. Every time the remote user log in , the system creates his printers. To do that, Citrix uses a list of compatible drivers and when there is no similar model in its list , it creates the printer using a "Generic driver" , a "Citrix Universal Printer" which is not fully compatible to all models. The idea of mapping printers is good but we get poor results sometimes.

There is a page in the HP site on "HP printers supported and not suported by Citrix" , it may help.
