desk top Icons moving around

What’s the deal with desk top Icons moving around when the unit comes out of standby or fast switching users accounts. I never had this problem before I had a crash and did a clean install. You never know what to expect anymore when you load or boot.

Kurt,

Not sure what is causing this, but a workaround I found is a useful little tool to save your desktop icon positions. It's at:

http://www.pcnineoneone.com/tweaks/layout.zip

Unzip the file and double click the "layout.reg" file to install the registry keys then right click on the recycle bin and click "save icon layout" or "restore icon layout" as necessary.
