help! can anyone tell me how to create in InDesign, then open the design up in pagemaker 6.5? And visa-versa? Also once moved, can the design be altered?

This cannot be done. Upgrade the PageMaker user to InDesign.

Dearest Picklefish,
ThankYou for responding.I have had a time of it with this query! I managed to find an older version of a pagemaker instruction book(6.5), which says that the systems are compatable, simply by dragging designs into the artboard area or creting an EPS, copy & paste. I, however have had no complete sucess in either.
PS. Whats your adversion to the nick-name? I think its cuteness!

The PageMaker 6.5 manual was written before the advent of InDesign. I would not trust it in this situation.

The only way to get anything from InDesign into PageMaker is to export an EPS or PDF file from InDesign and then place that EPS or PDF file in PageMaker. Unfortunately, this does not allow the design to be edited in PageMaker. PageMaker sees the placed design file as a single, uneditable graphic.
