Currently we have a handful (about 50) of users still running Office 2000 and want to upgrade them to XP.

I don't use SMS and really don't want to have to create a package with SD.

Has anyone had success installing this over a network? I've read some articles regarding setting up an "Administrative Installation Point", but was wondering on the success.

TIA.

Creating an Admin point is fine , but your users will all have to be Admin users to run the install, and if you don't want them to install certain features they will have access to install anything they fancy

Use an admin install point to install through Win2k RIS...your users don't need to be admins then. Assign Office XP via GPO to a machine OU on your server then move those computers into the OU to install the software. If you want, set the software to stay on the machine if it leaves the OU, and move the machine back to the OU they were in once the install is done.
