Denied numbers and distance from switch

q's on a Meridian Opt11.

We can't dial through the switch to a number that should be a local call. How can I get a list of denied numbers? LD 49? And how can I re-enable if it is on the list? What if it isn't denied?

Also, how far from the switch can a digital set be? We have an outlying office that has requested sets with displays, but my attempts have failed although I can use the TN in the closet.

Thanks so much

Did this help?

About the distance I don't know but it is far if your wiring is not JKT. (has to be twisted pair)

I think the distance number is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 feet.

3500 feet loop lenght over 22awg. For multiple cross connects 3000 feet will work fine.

Thanks for the responses.

The distance ones make sense; we are definitely beyond those numbers.

Cawho, special thanks to you, but I don't show any numbers denied for the area code, just "976".

To Cawho

Thanks for pointing me to the answer. The number wasn't denied, but there was no NPA data block for 10 digit dialing. All were set for 1+.

Ciao

Excellent, true!

You are welcome my friend!
Did you notice if the PBX uses the AC2 for long distances ?
