it's great to find this forum, very helpful! I'm just wondering if there's somebody who know what does it mean by "Denied in admin" which I've got to program a key button for Feature 871. Thanks!
Basically I programmed a key of the phone for night service with this feature 871. I couldn't understand why it gives me Denied in admin. There are 3 the same set of telephones and one of the telephones when I hit the key 24 which I programmed, it works. If I hit the other 2 telephone key, it doesn't work.
The set you are pressing Feature 871 from (ringing service) needs to be the control set for the lines you are trying to control. The one set that works is configured as the control set - the others aren't.
In short, only one set can control a ringing service for a specific line or group of lines.
Hope you can help me with this. Basically, I want to put the main number into night service and not the DDI number. How can I set up the main number of ISDN fractional rate to a night service using BCM200? thanks
If it's target line 241 for example, make the DN that will activate the service the control set for that line. Delete all sets from ring group 1 (otherwise any other DID's will go to the night service). Remove the default DN from ring group 2, add the voicemail DN as the only set in ring group 2. Configure line 241 as a member of ring group 2, start the service, and calls to line 241 should go directly to auto attendant.
Just to clarify, I need to delete the 3 members (DN) in hunt group 1 which at the moment this is the setup because 3 DNs are answering the incoming call.
After deleting the members in hunt group 1 and the default DN in hunt group 2, add in hunt group 2 the voicemail DN 471.
Will I also add DN 300 in hunt group 2 or just add line 241?
And will the incoming calls will ring the 3 members even if the night service is OFF?
If you already have a ring group defined, leave it as is. When the night service is enabled, the calls will go to the ring group defined under the line settings under that service. You should just need to configure the target line as a member of the ring group.
