Hello people:
My english is terrible, even so, I will try to be as specific as I can.

I have a Definity S8700 G3v11. I have a T1 link configured in ISDN-PRI (8bzs,esf,Ni2) . I have no problem at all with inbound calls (it works great and it did at the first atemp).

The problem is when I try to set an outbound call. When I trace the station nor the TAC number, I got "denial event 1164: ISDN call reject D2=CV D1=0x8c97 D2=0x260" error message and busy error tone (not fast busy).

I felt free to post also my equipment config, in case somebody could study it a little bit. This is quite important to me get this resolved.

Thanks in advanced to everybody,

Manuel

Denial event 1164 is a generic reject message from the far end. You failed to state whether the problem arose on a working trunk group or if this is a new install, I assume the latter and would check the route pattern first and make sure the service/feature field is set correctly. Second, I would check the prefix mark, refer to your documetation and ask your carrier what they are expecting for digits. Usually outbound only problems are associated with the route pattern. Good luck

good day..

try to look up toll analysis f ur dailed

For an 1164 error you need to find out if your carrier is set up for sdn. In your route pattern you have to set it up for sdn for outbound calls. This is set up in the system feature area

Also, do a display "isdn public-unknown-numbering" and see if that screen is formatted to show your extension length, extension code (which is the extension range), CPN prefix (NPA & NXX) and CPN length (7 or 10 digits). You could also be receiving a rejection by the network because the prefix 211 is usually classified as a service number like 411 or 911; you may need to better define your CPN as part of your setup message.

Try turning off send name on the trunk group. You'll find it on the second page. That should do the trick.

what does turning off the Name Send on the TG affect?

I had the same problem when setting the ITC Values to rest from bothept and your fix worked. Im just wondering if i've impacted anything else.

Alex.

Some carriers such as AT&T require that you add a service feature in the route pattern such as megacom. you will need to check with the carrier, but often this may be because you have SDN or other UUI settings to match on the carrier network.
