Hi,
is it possible to have a DeltaServer getting the SMDR of 2 or much IPOffice at the same time ?
And if so, how is it possible to differenciate the SMDR from one or other IPOffice ?
Hi,
Are you sure ?
If so, is there a solution to have only a PC (whit many DeltaServer services) getting the SMDR of many IPOffices ?
My goal : only a PC server getting the SMDR of 2 or more IPOffices at the same time ?
The IP Office Delta Server is Windows PC application designed to receive from the IP Office information about call handling and call events. The Delta Server can then store and share that information with other applications. It is important to note that only a single Delta Server is supported for each IP Office. That Delta Server will then share information with multiple other applications.
This documentation looks at just the use of Delta Server for SMDR support. However the fact that the Delta Server may be being used by other applications must always be borne in mind at any customer site.
might be worth checking out the new CDR, this way you can send the SMDR data from the different IPO's via IP to the PC running your SMDR program. Instead of trying to go grab it from DeltaServer
Thank you,
I didn't find it because I was searching in the french documentation, and it wasn't detailled ... In english version, it's OK !
But I'm not very happy to see that CDR format is not as accurate as SMDR format ("hour:minute" only, "tenth of minutes" !!!). This is very bad accuracy !
But in the knowledgebase, I didn't read anywhere that it wasn't possible to install a DeltaServer communicating with more than one IPOffice.
The only thing is : "It is important to note that only a single Delta Server is supported for each IP Office". And in my view, it doesn't mean that a DeltaServer cannot communicate with several IPOffices.
It is important to note that only a single Delta Server is supported for each IP Office".
It could be clearer but its still pretty damn clear.

"If you are upset then please direct your upset at Avaya"
--> It's done !
", not at the people in this forum who have given you accurate and helpful answers and suggestions."
--> You exaggerate, I didnt't have intention of doing this !
And I thank a lot people who helped me.
Hi sizbut and others,
I repeat : I didnt't have intention.
Sorry.
I've not yet a good solution for my problem.
- one DeltaServer with several IPOffices --> impossible
- enable CDR on each IPOffice --> the CDR format is too poor for me.
Yes, you're right,
but I've some customers who have 4 IPOffices ...
So for them, it's necessary to install 4 PC's DeltaServer,
and that's not an optimized solution.
why not ???
everywhere there a pc's running 24/7
install it,configure it and done
and if there are no pc's running 24/7 delta server can run on almost every pc (hardware/os)
it dousn't need to be top of the bill stuff
Delta server runs as a service on version 3.0 and higher
As said it can run on a server with no maintenance in the background.
The customer has to release that a pc is needed for the detail that is required. If they can deal with the amount of detail the cdr puts out then a pc is not required.
