Hello Techs,
I am working ‘again’ on a program that access data in a Delphi database. So, after 6 years am back at this job for an Interior design firm that employs Impact designer front program to enter projects and accounting data in Delphi database tables. In the past, I would use Paradox to access the tables directly to correct mistakes (just like Excel spreadsheets with columns and rows), it is easier than making journal entries to offset those erroneous data. The database base file extension is *.fbd.
My questions are:
1 - How to access the data tables, what program do I need?
2 - Will Borland Interbase 7.5 do the trick? (I saw it for $60 at borlandshop.com)
3 - Will I damage anything by accessing the database tables this way?
With Paradox I always done right, never had I problem, and I always made a backup before going in there.
Thanks in advance for any insights.
