I am having a very hard time with this. I have a Dell PE1800 with a dead LSI card. The LSI had a Raid5 container (3 Maxtors) attached. Dell is shipping me a new one out but I need to be deliberate because I cannot loose the data on the RAID5. Do you know any way I can replace the LSI card and resetup the container without loosing the data?

When LSI was replaced, we'll choise a "import foreign config" option on it. All informations about RAID level is write on LSI and HDDs, with this. Importing this configuration will occours.
